Two criminals held, 11 cases detected

PUNE: The Hadapsar police arrested two criminals on record on Friday and detected 11 cases related to vehicle and cellphone thefts, and a robbery while probing into a case of handset theft.
Akshay Shamrao Sutar (21) from Phursungi and Rohit Krishna Vasudeo (21) from Kalepadal have been remanded in police custody till Monday.
Investigations conducted by a police team, comprising assistant inspectors Prasad Lonare and Sanjay Kale and constable Nitin Munder, led to the arrest of Sutar and Vasudeo in a mobile theft case.
Senior inspector Sunil Tambe, in-charge of Hadapsar police station, said, “We have detected 11 cases, including six from Hadapsar, and one each from Wanowrie, Chatushrungi, Shikrapur, Swargate police stations registered since 2015.”
