Patna: Youth shot in Danapur area

PATNA: A youth was gunned down by criminals near Dhaneshwari Girls School in Gola road under Danapur police station area in Patna late Sunday night. The deceased was identified as a 22-year-old Sunny Kumar, son of Chaiti Ram Rai, of Gajadhar Chowk.The police arrested one of the accused, identified as Baba alias Jai Kumar Tiwari (19), on Monday and were interrogating him. The incident took place around 11.45pm, when the victim was returning to his home after attending a community feast (Bhandara). Danapur DSP Abhinav Dhiman said after scrutinizing the CCTV footage in the nearby areas, the police identified Jai with the help of Sunny’s family. According to family members, Jai and Sunny were friends.
