Woman ends life after hubby dies in hospital

: A 28-year-old woman jumped off the top floor of a four-storey city hospital and died instantly minutes after her husband died of a liver ailment at the private healthcare facility on Thursday morning.


Reports said soon after the doctors declared 32-year-old Sanoj Kumar dead, Priti Devi ran to the rooftop of the hospital near Pataliputra roundabout and leapt to her death.

town where Sanoj worked as a pharma company’s medical representative.

“Sanoj’s condition deteriorated on Thursday morning and he died around 8am,” the SHO said and added few other members of Sanoj’s family as well those of Priti’s maternal family were present in the hospital at the time of the incident.

According to a hospital official, Sanoj was suffering from jaundice and had been admitted to the hospital on October 4. “His haemoglobin level had nosedived... The prolonged illness had badly damaged his liver,” the official said.
