PATNA/MADHUBANI: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two of her co-villagers, who also bit her lips, at Andouli village under the Madhwapur police station area in
Madhubani district
in the wee hours of Monday.
Police said the incident occurred when the girl was returning home along with her 17-year-old sister from a fair around 3am.
SHO of Madhwapur police station Anil Kumar said the girl’s father has lodged an FIR against two youths of his village, accusing them of dragging his daughter into a bamboo grove and raping her. “According to the FIR, the rape survivor’s sister ran away from the spot and informed her family members about the incident. The family members later found the girl in a bush in the bamboo grove around 3.30am. There were bruises on her body parts,” the SHO said.
He added the girl was taken to a primary health centre by her family members, from where the doctors referred her to

sadar hospital.
Police said while one of the accused, Dharmendra Thakur (26), has been arrested, raids were on to arrest another accused, Ranjeet Thankur (25).
