ARA/BEGUSARAI: A mill-worker from Bhojpur district and a 15-year-old boy from Begusarai have lost their lives in Delhi violence.
The deceased hailing from Bhojpur has been identified as Deepak Kumar, a native of of Salempur village under the Chandi police station area. He was the sole bread earner of his family and is survived by his wife and three children.
Deepak worked at Jhilmil Rolling Mill under the Shahdara police station in Delhi.

His uncle, Nand Kumar Yadav told media persons that Deepak went to Chandni Chowk at around 10am on February 25 to buy clothes with his friend Vikki. “On getting information that the market was closed, Deepak and Vikki decided to return. When they reached Gokulpuri locality, Deepak was surrounded by a frenzied mob, who were pelting stones and firing indiscriminately. Though Vikki managed to escape, Deepak became a victim of the mindless violence,” Yadav said.
Deepak’s wife Sarita broke down saying that he had promised to come back home in Holi. “He was supposed to call me around around 11 am on February 25, but on February 24 about 1 pm, we got the sad news."
Deepak’s six-year-old son, Ritik said, "Papa had promised to bring clothes for us in Holi. The government should give strict punishment to those who have killed my papa."
The 15- year- old deceased boy from Begusari has been identified as Bipin Kumar, a native of Sonma village under Garhpura block. Family members of the deceased claimed said the incident occurred in Bhajanpura area of north-east Delhi on Wednesday.
Bipin was the youngest son of Sogarath Paswan, who migrated to Delhi five years ago to eke a living. Family members of Paswan in the village told reporters on Friday that Bipin had gone to the local market to buy goods for daily use of the house. However, he got trapped in clashes between the police and the locals. He got seriously injured and police later admitted him to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. It was not clear whether he got injured in the firing by the locals or retaliatory police action.
