Bhagalpur: The district police on Wednesday arrested two drug peddlers, both in their 20s, allegedly linked to an organised drug trafficking gang, from two different locations. Around 40 grams of brown sugar were recovered from them.
The accused have been identified as Futo Paswan, son of late Parsadi Paswan, a resident of Lodipur Paswan Tola under Lodipur police station area, and Ashish Mandal, son of Shankar Mandal, a resident of Choti Sardho village under Sabour police station area.
SSP Pramod Kumar Yadav said acting on tip-off a police team arrested the two accused from a locality under Lodipur police station. An FIR has been registered against the two under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
The SSP said the accused are being interrogated to ascertain their links to the larger drug network.
