PATNA: Road construction department (RCD) minister Prem Kumar on Friday directed the officials concerned to take necessary steps to prevent waterlogging on roads during monsoon.
The RCD minister said that it would be the responsibility of the executive engineers concerned to ensure that water flowed properly in drains constructed beside the road by the department.

As per an official press release, the minister, along with MLAs Arun Kumar Sinha and Nitin Naveen and officials concerned, visited different localities, including Ashok Raj Path, Saidpur Road, Kankerbagh Road, Bhootnath Road, Kanti Factory Road and Kankerbagh Road No. 1 and 2, and inspected them.
The minister was quite unhappy when he saw waterlogging at several points on the Ashok Raj Path. He asked the executive engineer to make arrangements for draining out water or face consequences.
Kumar also found construction of drains incomplete on the Kankerbagh Bypass. He asked officials to complete the work within a week.
