Shift to result-oriented monitoring in educations: Deputy CM
Patna: Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Tuesday called for a shift to result-oriented monitoring at a workshop held here, stressing that the state’s education system will now be evaluated primarily on student learning outcomes rather than administrative processes.The minister, while addressing regional education officials and district officers, said a weekly monitoring system and digital classroom observations should be put in place to track teaching efficacy. He said a dedicated digital application is now collecting inspection data to ensure that teacher training translates directly into improved students’ performance. He directed officials to implement these evaluations rigorously to maintain transparency and administrative accountability.Additional chief secretary of the education department, B Rajender, instructed field officers to conduct a block-wise audit of vacancies and sanctioned posts to optimise workforce distribution. He stressed on enforcement of standard operating procedures for model schools and modernisation of school infrastructure. He issued a directive for the timely disbursement of salaries to all department employees.
He warned of severe disciplinary action against teachers who attempt to utilise unauthorised proxies for their duties.Director of primary education Vikram Virkar said Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) campaign should be implemented and help of local community workers should be taken to raise enrolments in schools.A technical session on self-enumeration and a briefing on legal disciplinary protocols was conducted by census director Ranjita.Departmental teams presented comparative analyses of educational innovations from Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra and Telangana for potential implementation in Bihar.The session concluded with a comprehensive review of the e-Shikshakosh portal, HRMS integration and compliance with the National Education Policy, 2020. Officials were asked to clear all pending administrative tasks immediately to ensure the system remains result-oriented.
