PATNA: The lives of the convicts in G Krishnaiyya case -- currently lodged Beur jail -- would be even tougher after a local court pronounced quantum of punishment on Wednesday. According to jail sources, former MP Anand Mohan, besides Akhlaq Ahmed and Arun Kumar (both former MLAs), who have been awarded capital punishment, would be kept in separate cells.
"The other four convicts -- Anand Mohan's wife and former MP Lovely Anand, Munna Shukla (sitting MLA from Lalganj), Shashi Shekhar and Harendra Kumar, too, could be kept in separate cells depending on the security concerns given the sensitivity of the case. Moreover, most of the convicts are well-known public figures," said a jail official.
