Saran administration’s bid to boost family planning
Chhapra: To boost the effectiveness of family planning and welfare schemes, the health department in Saran district has introduced new measures, including appointing a "master coach" from the family planning advisory team.
"The identified master coach will be responsible for strengthening the family planning programme," said district planning manager Arvind Kumar. He expressed optimism that this initiative would bolster various departmental activities.
"The master coach will identify the shortcomings at different health and wellness centres of the district and remove them with the help of experts," coordinator Rajiv Srivastava said. He added that the coach would also take appropriate actions while keeping the District Health Committee informed.
District planning coordinator Ramesh Chandra Kumar and activist Ganpat Kumar expressed hope that this decision would contribute to reducing mother-child mortality rates in the district.
