Saharsa teen dies after learning about boyfriend’s profession
Patna: A 17-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide in Saharsa district after she found that her boyfriend was a performer in a dance troupe.
She was found hanging in her home on Saturday evening. The police on getting information seized the body while the family was attempting to perform her last rites. The police later got the autopsy done on Sunday and then handed over the body to the family.
The family claimed that she died by suicide as she was upset with her boyfriend’s profession. “The real cause of death will be ascertained after the autopsy report comes,” Itahri SHO Khushboo Kumari said.
The deceased was identified as Parvati Kumari, a resident of Itahri police station area. Her boyfriend was identified as Pandav Kumar (19), from the same area. The family claimed that Parvati was upset after discovering Pandav’s dance profession and she felt betrayed.
