Renowned artists regale music lovers

PATNA: For music lovers of the state capital, it was a pleasant Sunday evening as renowned artists regaled them with their performances at Parampara Utsav organized by Kalatrayee.
The programme started with Ganesh Vandana. It was followed by sarod recital by eminent sarod player Reeta Das of Maihar Senia Gharana. She started her performance with Rag Durga, an evening rag invoking the deity.Her performance concluded with Rag Kirwani, a melodious Karnataka rag. She was accompanied on tabla by Vishwajeet Nandi (Kolkata).
Pandit Naresh Malhotra (Delhi), a singer of Indore Gharana, started with a song in Rag Jay Jaywanti, an evening rag. It was followed by Rag Hansdhwani. He was accompanied on tabla by Vishwajeet Nandi.
Earlier, Kathak dancer Shringarmani Rama Das welcomed the guests.
