Ramrekha Ghat light & sound show handed over to Buxar nagar parishad
Buxar: The proposed light and sound show project, based on Ram Katha, at the historic Ramrekha Ghat complex has been officially transferred to the nagar parishad Buxar.District magistrate Sahila on Sunday inspected the site to review the status of the project. During the inspection, the DM assessed the work completed so far, examined the technical specifications, and reviewed quality standards and available infrastructure at the site.

Officials briefed the DM on the current stage of execution and pending components of the project. Additional DM Arun Kumar Singh, senior deputy collector and district tourism in charge Alok Narayan Vats, and senior officials of the nagar parishad Buxar and departments concerned were present during the inspection.The DM directed the authorities to complete the remaining work within the stipulated time frame.Instructions were also issued to prepare a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the operation of the light and sound show. A mandatory technical trial run was ordered before formal commencement. Emphasising tourism development, the DM said that the project be aligned with the district’s overall tourism promotion plan.
The show is expected to present the historical, religious, and cultural importance of Ramrekha Ghat in a structured manner, with the aim of increasing tourist footfall. Directions were issued for effective crowd management, adequate lighting, cleanliness, fire safety measures, and strict compliance with electrical safety standards.According to officials, the light and sound show project is being developed at an estimated cost of around Rs4 crore covering audio-visual systems, lighting infrastructure, content development, electrical work, and site preparation. The final cost will be confirmed after completion and technical validation.
