Railways felicitates 16 women employees
Patna: As many as 16 women employees of the East Central Railway (ECR) were felicitated by the East Central Railway Women Welfare Organisation (ECRWWO) at a function held at Patliputra Rail Parishar here on Saturday evening.ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra said the felicitation programme was organised to promote women empowerment in the railways and to recognise the dedicated services of women employees across various fields contributing to the development of the railway network.The selected employees were honoured with cash rewards and commendation certificates by ECR WWO president Sunita Singh on the occasion. “Their contributions reflect commitment, efficiency and a growing role of women in strengthening railway operations,” he said, adding among those felicitated was Nishi Kumari, an accountant with ECR, who was also recognised by the Railway Women’s Cultural and Civic Organisation for her distinguished services.Prominent members of the ECRWWO present on the occasion included Ranjana Kumar, Manisha Sinha, Poonam Srivastava and Priyanka Singh among others.
