Radha wins elocution competition

of Patna Women’s College jointly bagged the second prize in the intercollege English extempore and

elocution

contest organized at

Patna Science College

on Wednesday. The event was a part of Patna University centenary celebrations.

Akanksha Singh

and Akriti Aseem of Patna Women’s College and Deepa Kumari of Patna Science College bagged the first, second and third prize respectively in the Hindi extempore and elocution contest. Munibha Sami of Patna University, Nivedita Shaw of Sri Arvind Mahila College and Rupa Verma of DPS School were the judges, said Atul Aditya Pandey, the organizer of the contest.

Chancellor’s meeting with VCs postponed: The meeting of the vice-chancellors of different universities in the state scheduled to be held under the chairmanship of governor-cum-chancellor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan on Thursday has been postponed due to some unavoidable reasons, Raj Bhavan sources said. The meeting will now be held from 10.30am on Saturday.
