Prashant is ‘best athlete’ at Tribhuvan sports meet
PATNA: Class XI student Prashant Kumar was declared the ‘best athlete’ at the annual sports meet of the Tribhuvan School organized at Pataliputra Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Green House bagged the overall ‘championship trophy’ at the event which was named ‘Skylark’. While Amar Kumar (Class IX) bagged the first position in high jump competition, Anushka Jaiswal (Class VII) won the first prize in ‘dressing for school race’.

Aayush Kumar and Arnav Dev walked away with the first prize in the three-legged race whereas Darshan Pawar (Class XI) got the first prize in discus throw contest. Green House students were declared winners of relay race and Red House won the winner’s trophy for march-past.
Students also presented a wide array of colourful drills and took part in various track and field events like 50m race, 100m race, sack race and ‘balancing the book’.
Parents of the participants also attended the sports meet.
Montessori school: At least 40 students of classes V to VIII exhibited 30 models at a ‘Science Carnival’ organized by Patna Montessori School on Wednesday.
The model of ‘neon tungsten’ was the winner of the exhibition while models of ‘galaxy blasters’ and ‘hydrogen bond’ were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Other models liked by everyone were those of ‘air cooler’, ‘wind mill’, ‘mechanical robot’ and ‘water harvesting’.
BSEB: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has increased the duration of registration of Class XI students for the 2018-2020 session from December 26 to January 5.
The students can submit the registration fee online till January 5. The board has also issued helpline numbers — 0612-2232249, 2227587 and 2227588 — for those who have queries.
