A booklet, titled ‘Sikhism Through Stamps’, was also released with a short write-up on pious places attached to Guru Gobind Singh. Philatelic souvenirs, decorative pieces and gifts like wall hanging, coffee mugs, mouse pad, table display, calendar, tie and badges were also released.
Anil Kumar, post-master general (Bihar circle), said the postal department has set up three temporary post offices at Kangan Ghat, Bal Leela Gurdwara and near Takhat Sri Harmandir Sahib. “All the items released on Friday are available at Patna, Gaya and Muzaffarpur GPOs,” Kumar added.
Director of accounts (postal), Bihar circle, S C Jha and philanthropists Kamaljeet Gandhi, Jaspal Gandhi and Sudarshan Singh were also present at the launch.
