Panel starts clearing promotion cases

PATNA: Magadh University (MU) has started the process of clearing long- pending promotions of teachers of its constituent colleges under the time- bound, merit and career advancement schemes.
The university's selection committee, at a meeting held at Bodh Gaya under the chairmanship of VC B N Pandey, on Wednesday cleared promotion of the teachers of a few subjects, including commerce and geography.MU PRO Shamsul Islam said the selection committee would next take up promotion matters of botany and chemistry departments. ���The university is likely to clear all pending promotions in two months from now,��� he said.
