One killed, 7 injured in E Champaran

Motihari: One person was stabbed to death and seven others, including a woman, were injured in a clash between two groups at Dawudnagar village under the Pachpakadi police station area in East Champaran district on Monday.
Sources said the situation was under control and the accused would soon be arrested. "The incident took place when one Jamil Akhtar protested against the DJ system installed in his neighbour Mohd Gafar's house.
Annoyed with the blaring noise of the music system, a clash took place between two groups in which Gafar's relative Mohd Shakil was stabbed to death," Pachapakadi police station SHO Shambhu Kumar said, adding seven others, including one Rabari Khatoon received serious injuries. The 'pandal' erected at Gafar's house for his daughter's 'nikah' was also set on fire by the attackers. The injured persons are hospitalized in Dhaka hospital.
