Nitish pays tribute to mother on death anniversary
Patna: CM Nitish Kumar on Thursday paid homage to his mother, Parmeshwari Devi, on her death anniversary by garlanding her statue at Kaviraj Ramlakhan Singh Smriti Vatika in his native village Kalyan Bigaha, Harnaut block, Nalanda district.On the occasion, he also garlanded the statues of his father, Kaviraj Ramlakhan Singh, and his wife, Manju Sinha. Accompanying him, his elder brother Satish Kumar and son Nishant Kumar also paid tribute by garlanding the statues.The CM was joined by minister Shrawan Kumar, Nalanda MP Kaushalendra Kumar, several current and former lawmakers, his secretary Chandrashekhar Singh, Patna commissioner Animesh Parashar, DM Thiyagarajan S M, SSP Kartikeya K Sharma, Nalanda DM Kundan Kumar, SP Bharat Soni, and other dignitaries. Villagers had also gathered to witness the ceremony.Later, Nitish performed a puja at his village temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, known locally as Devi Sthan, where he prayed for the peace, happiness, and well-being of the people. He also interacted with the locals during the visit.
