Teenager detained for killing 16-yr-old
In a troubling incident from Patna district, a teenager found himself in custody after the tragic death of a 16-year-old boy, which authorities believe stemmed from a heated dispute over an alleged relationship with the teen's sister. Preliminary reports indicate the accused had issued multiple threats before the confrontation occurred.
Patna: A teenager was detained by Phulwarisharif police for allegedly strangling a 16-year-old boy, Golu Kumar, in a village Patna district during the early hours of Thursday. The arrest was made within two hours of the incident, which occurred on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.According to Phulwarisharif police station in-charge Ghulam Shahbaz Alam, the alleged motive was an illicit relationship between the deceased and the accused’s sister, who lived in the same neighbourhood. The accused admitted during interrogation that he had repeatedly warned Golu to stay away from his sister, but the victim ignored the warnings.“He confessed that he spoke to Golu about the matter 8-10 times and even threatened to kill him following a fight three days prior to the incident.
