Patna: NIT-Patna director Pradip Kumar Jain on Monday launched a specialised course on the ‘User Awareness Programme on Indian Research Information Network System (IRINS) and INFLIBNET services for scholarly communities’ at the institute’s central library. A large number of faculty members, library staff and students participated.
In his address, Jain highlighted NIT-P’s emergence as a knowledge hub with rich academic resources and emphasised the need to strengthen high-level research.

Centre experts Rajan Kumar and Abhishek Kumar briefed participants on digital research tools and demonstrated how automated library services and digital networking can support a research-driven academic environment.
The programme offered practical insights into using IRINS, VIDWAN, One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) and Shodh-Chakra to enhance research visibility and management.
At the outset, programme convener S K Mandal welcomed participants. Assistant librarian Mahesh Singh proposed a vote of thanks.
