Gaya: CM Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, visited Gehlaur on Saturday, where he offered obeisance by garlanding the statue of Dashrath Manjhi, popularly known as the ‘Mountain Man’, installed at the Dashrath memorial. The visit has fuelled speculation regarding Nishant’s possible future role in the JD(U), in view of his recent public appearances.Dashrath Manjhi created history by carving out a 360 ft-long and 30 ft-wide road by cutting through mountain rock up to 25 ft deep. He worked alone for 22 years, from 1960 to 1982. His efforts significantly reduced the distance between Atri and Wazirganj blocks to 15km from the earlier 55km.
