Newborn stolen from PMCH rescued
Patna: Police rescued a newborn stolen from the maternity ward of the PMCH on Feb 23 and arrested the accused within 30 minutes. The 21-year-old mother, a resident of Kamala Nehru Nagar under Kotwali police station, reported the theft around 1pm. Acting swiftly, PMCH Town Outpost police launched a search and caught the accused, Jackie Kumari (21) of Munna Chak under Patrakar Nagar police station, near the hospital premises. The baby was safely returned to the family. A case has been registered at Pirbahore police station.
