Nalanda woman alleges gang rape by hubby, two friends

BIHARSHARIF: A woman has alleged that her husband and two of his friends from Patna gang-raped her for months. The incident came to light when the woman lodged an FIR against the three persons in Sohsarai police station in Biharsharif of Nalanda district, on Wednesday.
The victim, in her police complaint, said whenever she opposed her sexual exploitation, her husband mercilessly thrashed and threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed it to anyone.The woman said she recently managed to narrate her ordeal to her family members who encouraged her to file a police complaint against them.
Sohsarai police station SHO Munna Kumar said the victim was sent to Biharsharif Sadar hospital for medical examination. “Her statement under Section 164 of CrPC will be recorded before a magistrate and an appropriate action would be taken against the accused after completion of the investigation,” he said.
