Isolated rainfall to continue in Bihar: Met
PATNA: Patnaites experienced a welcome break from the sultry weather as light rain and thunderstorm graced the city on Sunday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning in the north-west, south-west, and south-central parts of the state on Monday.
Weathermen forecast a slight shift in conditions for the upcoming days, as rainfall intensity and spatial distribution are likely to decrease across the state. However, no large change in maximum temperature is expected during the next four days.
"We are expecting scattered rainfall till Monday, which will be followed by isolated rainfall for the next three days. Rainfall is most likely to be concentrated over the southern parts of the state during this period in the form of thunderstorm," said Ashish Kumar Singh, a scientist at Patna Meteorological Centre.
The Patna Meteorological Centre's evening bulletin revealed that Buxar recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 35.7 degrees Celsius, followed by Vaishali at 35.2 degrees Celsius, and Ziradei in Siwan at 35 degrees Celsius. Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 32.9 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday, light to moderate thunderstorm accompanied by rain were observed in districts like Rohtas, Vaishali, Aurangabad, Buxar and Patna. The highest amount of rainfall of 6.6mm was observed at Dehri in Rohtas.
