Meet on global trends in education begins today
PATNA: A three-day international conference on ‘Global trends in education: Review and options’, being organized by the Institute of Objective Studies (IOS), New Delhi, will begin here on Friday.Academicians from different parts of thecountry and abroad will participate in the conference. Prominent among thoseinclude Ghazali Bin Md. Noor (Malaysia), Abdullah Omar Naseef (Saudi Arabia), M.Akhtar Siddiqui (New Delhi), Faizan Mustafa (Orissa), Shamim Ansari (Aligarh), ZM Khan, Ausaf Ahmad, Manzoor Alam (all from New Delhi). The conference will beinaugurated by Uttarakhand governor, Margaret Alva, said IOS director ManzoorAlam while addressing a press conference on Thursday.The participants will assess and analyse the impact of new international agreements, redefinition of trade and intellectual property right conditions, innovations in information and communication, application of new technologies and structural changes in the labour market. The meet will deliberate and try to introspect whether the country is prepared to reap the benefits of emerging opportunities arising out of far-reaching changes in educational system world over, said Alam.
