Man killed in Phulwarisharif, family dispute suspected

Patna: A woman allegedly killed her brother-in-law at Bhusaula village under Phulwarisharif police station area on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Rizwan Qureshi (31), police said.Upon receiving information about the murder, Phulwarisharif SDPO, Sushil Kumar, reached the spot with his team and started an investigation. "At 9 am, the police received information that one Rizwan Qureshi was murdered in Bhusaula village. The police called the forensic team to collect evidence for the probe. The deceased's wife accused her brother-in-law and sister-in-law of committing the murder."The SDPO said, "Her brother-in-law, Shahbaz Qureshi, has been arrested, while the sister-in-law is on the run. Raids are being conducted for her arrest. The body has been sent to a govt hospital for the postmortem."Rizwan, married about a year ago in Arwal, worked as an electrician.According to the police, Rizwan's sister-in-law, Shabnam Khatoon, attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon while he was sleeping inside his room. After attacking him, she bolted the door of the house and fled, they said.Phulwarisharif SHO, Ghulam Shahbaz Alam, said the case appears to be linked to a family dispute. "The police are investigating the matter from all angles," he added.
