Patna: Promoting industrial activities across the state and equipping youths with skills to become self-reliant remains the core objective of the govt, CM Nitish Kumar said on Thursday while launching a slew of development schemes for Samastipur district during his Samriddhi Yatra.
“The govt is working to provide facilities for the establishment of industries in all the districts. The aim of the govt is to promote industrial activities and to ensure that the youths get skilled and become self-reliant,” the CM said while addressing a public gathering during a ‘jan samvad’ programme at Housing Board Maidan in Samastipur.
Earlier in the day, from the campus of the Govt Engineering College at Sarairanjan, the CM launched 188 projects worth Rs 827 crore for the district through remote control. These included foundation stones for 71 schemes valued at Rs 470 crore, inauguration of 74 schemes costing Rs 273 crore, and the commencement of work on 43 schemes involving an expenditure of Rs 84 crore.
