I-Day celebrated

PATNA: Flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Bihar State Pollution Control Board at its headquarters located in Beltron Bhawan on Monday. Its chairman, Dr S C Singh, hoisted the flag. Officers and staff were also present on the occasion.
The NTPC headquarters celebrated the 65th Independence Day on Monday. Regional executive director (ED), East 1, U P Pani hosted the tricolour.
The PowerGrid, Eastern Region-1, at Karbigahiya observed the day and the flag was hoisted by ED, ER-1, Bhaskar Sharma.The Punjab National Bank has opened its new branch at Fatuha and it was inaugurated by general manager (field), Bihar and Jharkhand, V Sri Nivasan.
The day was celebrated at the International School, Army School, Danapur, Dony Polo Public School, Bihar Institute of Economic Studies, Bapu Smarak Mahila Charkha Sangh, Vidya Niketan Girls' High School, Sulabh International Social Service Organization, Rotary Patna, Inner Wheel Club of Patna, Patna Muslim High School and Leed's Asian School.
