PATNA/GAYA: Days after he quit the Grand Alliance to join the NDA, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) president Santosh Kumar Suman has been granted “Y+” category security by the Centre.

Reports said the ministry of home affairs has asked the CRPF to take over security of Suman, a former minister in the Nitish Kumar government, based on a threat report from the intelligence bureau. Now he will be availing round-the-clock security by around a dozen CRPF personnel.

Suman on Tuesday said deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav would become the chief minister in the next 10 days. “Chief minister Nitish Kumar does not have the political guts to dismiss Tejashwi or ask him to resign,” Suman told the media in Gaya, adding the CM had lost grip over the government.
