Government school teacher dies by suicide in Vaishali
In a tragic incident, Priya Bharti, a dedicated government school teacher, was discovered deceased in Vaishali district. A suicide note attributed her passing to ongoing health struggles, with her final wishes for her daughter to conduct the last rites and her husband to receive her cellphone.
Patna: The body of a woman govt school teacher was found hanging from a noose in Sehan village under Kathara police station area of Vaishali district on Monday.After being alerted by locals, police arrived and recovered a suicide note from her rented accommodation. The body was sent to Sadar Hospital, Hajipur, for the postmortem.

The deceased was identified as Priya Bharti (27), wife of Deepak Raj, a resident of Rasulpur village under Jandaha police station area in the district. Priya, who taught at a local govt school, left behind a three-month-old daughter.She was posted at Khajechand High School in Chhapra’s Chehra Kala block. Her husband, a deputy branch manager in a private bank in Raxaul, returned home three days before the incident.In the suicide note, Priya wrote that she was taking the extreme step because of her illness. She did not blame anyone for her death. She further wrote that her last rites be performed by her daughter, not her husband, in Hajipur.She added: “My cellphone should be handed over to my husband. The notes in the phone contain some messages, audio, and video, the password of which is known to my husband. I apologise to everyone I have hurt.”
SHO, Sanjeev Kumar Dubey, said the body was sent for the postmortem. He said the police have begun a probe into the circumstances leading to her death, including the mentioned illness. Her family members have however raised allegations of foul play. “We are waiting to receive a complaint from the woman’s family. According to locals, the woman lived alone in a rented room. The FSL team collected evidence from her room,” he said.
