Four cops hurt in Gaya road accident

Gaya: Four police personnel, including two women constables of BMP-17, were injured in a head-on collision between a police jeep and a private car near Koshdihra village under the Magadh Medical College police station area in Gaya on Saturday evening.

The jeep, belonging to Jamui police, was escorting a guest to the inaugural function of Pitripaksh when the accident occurred. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, injuring all four occupants.

The injured were rushed to Anugrah Narain Magadh Medical College Hospital. Hospital superintendent Dr K K Sinha said two personnel, including the driver, were discharged after first aid. The two women constables were admitted for further treatment. “Both are out of danger. X-ray and other investigations are being conducted,” he said.

The injured women constables have been identified as Chanda Kumari and Varsha Kumari.
