FIR against headmaster, two others as student dies

Mithun Kumar, son of Kamlesh Kumar of Berat village under Bhabhua PS in Kaimur district, was a student of Class VIII at Government Ambedkar Boys' Residential School. On Saturday morning, when he went to attend nature's call, he came into contact with a live wire and was injured and succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.

ARA: A named FIR was lodged with the police under Nawada police station against the headmaster of Government Ambedkar Boys' Residential School, MaulaBagh, Sitaram, hostel superintendent Rajendra Prasad and a clerk, JitendraDubey, in connection with the death of a student, Mithun Kumar. Mithun died of electrocution.
The FIR was lodged on the statement of an inmate of the hostel, Ayush Kumar.

Allegations of dereliction of duty has been levelled in the FIR. ASP Vikas Kumar said inquiry is being conducted and action will be taken against the guilty.

Other inmates of the hostel rushed him to Ara sadar hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital. Later, the agitated students blocked the Maula Bagh roundabout near the school for about eight hours and almost all the officials including Bhojpur DM, SP, ASP, SDO and Jagdishpur MLA Bhai Dinesh had to face the wrath of the students. The blockade was lifted in the evening after the DM's intervention.
Bhojpur DM Pankaj Kumar Pal, during supervision of the school, noticed large scale anomalies. He also brought to task the district welfare officer (DWO) for these anomalies and ordered him to rectify them. He announced compensation to the deceased under the SC/ST provision.
District board:Bhojpur District Board member Neerja Devi lodged a named FIR with Nawada police station against the former chairman, Archana Singh, in connection with a case of forgery. In the FIR, Neerja Devi said she had given the former chairman her letter pad with her signature for seeking a correction in the fourth finance commission. Meanwhile, a non-confidence motion was initiated against the chairman on July 23. When she went to cast her vote, she came to know that her resignation was submitted on the said letter pad though she had not tendered her resignation. Archana Singh dismissed the allegation saying it was baseless.
