Ara: A farmer Rahul Kumar Bari (28) was found hanging in his bedroom at Marwatiya village under Ara Mufassil police station area on Tuesday morning.
Suspecting foul play in the death, the family members submitted a written complaint urging the police to investigate the matter. However, police said initial investigation suggests that Rahul died by suicide.
SHO, Ara Mufassil police station, Ram Kalyan Yadav, said prima facie it appears to be a suicide case. “The ligature marks on the neck and some other initial technical findings clearly point towards death by suicide. The exact cause of death would be known after the arrival of the autopsy report,” he said.
Rahul was the son of one Deenbandhu Bari, a cook, who originally belongs to ward no. 8 in Dhamar village under Ara Mufassil police station area.
“After having dinner, Rahul went to sleep in another house at Marwatiya village, about 400 metres away from our Dhamar village. However, when he didn’t wake up on Tuesday, we went to his room to call him but found his body hanging and informed the police,” he said.
