Ex-MP's guard jailed in kidnap case

PATNA: Patna's acting chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) Shailendra Kumar Singh on Monday sent former MP Vijay Krishna's bodyguard Umesh Prasad Singh to judicial custody for 14 days.
He has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of JD(U) leader and builder Satyendra Kumar Singh. Police on Monday produced Umesh before the ACJM around 2 pm, one-and-a-half hour after the closing time of the district court.
Earlier on Saturday the confessional statement of two persons in this case was recorded under Section 164 CrPC by judicial magistrate Akhilesh Kumar Singh.The confessional statements of three others were recorded earlier.
