Ara: has named Dr , a laparoscopic surgeon, as its candidate for the Ara assembly constituency.
“I fit perfectly for the slogan, though, coined by the Prime Minister, ‘Be vocal for the local,’ since I belong to Bahiro village, barely 2km from Ara, and have been brought up in this town. I am the ‘beta’ of Ara, not only a ‘neta’ of Ara,” Dr Gupta said, indirectly highlighting that the incumbent
BJP MLA is an alleged outsider from Jharkhand.
Outlining his vision for the constituency, he said, “Like the NCR has been developed around New Delhi, Ara and some adjacent areas of Patna should be developed as the state capital periphery region. This will generate more employment and put a curb on migration. Since I have been born and brought up in Ara and have been practising medicine here since 2013, I am well aware of the problems Araites face and I will not leave any stone unturned to find lasting solutions to these woes of the public.”
Dr Gupta also cited strong local support for his candidature. “In a recent survey by some media houses, thankfully a large number of people from Ara approved my candidature,” he said.
