Dalit woman lodges complaint against RJD MLA

and others for allegedly forcing her son to change his religion.

Hema, in her petition has alleged that the MLA and three others--Md Tufail, Md Shahin and Md Osama--pressurised her son Raja Paswan for 'dharm parivartan' (religious conversion) and was tortured when he refused to oblige.

"My son was even offered money and when he refused he was shot at and injured on March 15. He was also implicated in a false case, arrested and sent to jail," said Hema in the petition.

The MLA, however, refuted the allegations and said it was filed to deafame him.

Both the MLA and the complainant live in Dharampur area. Hema stood by her claim and said the court is expected to hear her petition on Monday.
