Patna: Motorcycle-borne criminals snatched a bag containing jewellery worth Rs20 lakh at gunpoint from a businessman near Rajendra Nagar main road under Chitragupt police station area on Jan 18. However, the incident came to light on Tuesday.Ravi Kumar, a 34-year-old jeweller from Hajipur in Vaishali district, who owns three shops there, filed a complaint with Chitragupta Nagar police station in this regard on Jan 18.

He mentioned that armed criminals snatched the bag containing jewellery from a worker when his father arrived at Rajendra Nagar Terminal from Kolkata on Jan 18 by Danapur-Howrah Express. Ravi had arrived at the station in his car to pick up his father.Police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information and conducted an on-site inspection. “CCTV footage from the spot and nearby areas is under scrutiny to identify the perpetrators. A case was registered at Chitragupta Nagar police station based on Ravi’s complaint. Investigations are going on,” the police said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
