Patna: One Ashwini Kumar, accused of issuing threats to blow up police stations in Mumbai and Patna, was brought to the city on Monday after his arrest in Noida by
Mumbai Police. He was recently put up in Arthro Jail, Mumbai, for four days in connection with threats to bomb Gandhi Maidan and Patna civil court with RDX.
According to Gandhi Maidan police station in charge Akhilesh Mishra, Ashwini is being interrogated and will be presented in the Patna civil court on Sept 16. “The accused allegedly issued threats to take revenge on his former friend, Firoz Ahmed. On Sept 4, posing as Firoz, he called the Gandhi Maidan police station, threatening to destroy it with a bomb within two hours,” the SHO said.

He also made a phone call to Mumbai police, threatening a series of bomb explosions.
Following a joint operation by Mumbai and Patna police, he was brought to Patna on transit remand.
