Begusarai: Police recovered body of a sales representative of a pharmaceutical company, identified as
Murari Kumar (30), near Gupta-Lakhminia embankment under Teghra police station area on Sunday.
Murari was a native of Ramdiri village under Matihani police station area of the district. Murari had been living with his in-laws for the last four years at Madhurapur village under Teghra police station area.
Kundan Kumar, a resident of Madhurapur village said Murari went out of the house after he received a call from someone on Saturday evening. “When he failed to return till late in the evening, his kin tried to contact him. However, his cellphone remained switched off. Some locals, while on their morning walk on Sunday morning, spotted his body in bushes near the embankment,” he said.
Teghra police station SHO Amlesh Kumar said the criminals slit his throat with a sharp-edged weapon. “There were marks of blood around the spot, indicating the criminals assaulted him brutally before the murder,” he said, adding a FSL team as well as a dog squad was called to assist the investigation.
