Patna: The bodies of four workers from Katihar, who died in a road accident in Nagaland’s Chumoukedima district on Saturday, were brought back to their native village on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Raghuvansh Mahto, Pankaj Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Shiv Nandan Kumar, all in the age group of 19 to 24 years, reports Madan Kumar.
CM Nitish Kumar announced an ex gratia payment of Rs2 lakh each to the next of kin of each deceased. They belonged to Rajjiganj village under Korha block. They had left their village only five days ago to eke out a living by working as construction workers in Nagaland.
