BJP expels four leaders from party

The state BJP disciplinary Committee on Monday expelled from the party its four district-level leaders, including Jagdamba Singh, who is contesting against the party's official candidate from Ramgarh assembly seat.

PATNA: The state BJP disciplinary Committee on Monday expelled from the party its four district-level leaders, including Jagdamba Singh, who is contesting against the party's official candidate from Ramgarh assembly seat.
Committee president Shambhu Prasad issued the letter ordering expulsion of Jagdamba from the party, and has also sent it to the latter.

The three others expelled from the party are office-bearers of the party's Begusarai unit. They are Begusarai town unit president Parmanand Sharma, general secretary Randhir Kumar and president of its industry cell Sunil Singh. They have been accused of working against the party's official candidate for the Begusarai seat Shri Krishna Singh.
Meanwhile, senior BJP ministers in the Nitish Kumar government, along with the legislators, have been campaigning in favour of the party candidates as also of the JD(U) by road, touching the villages concerned. The party's state media incharge Rakesh Kumar Singh said that agriculture minister Renu Devi would accompany deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi during his campaign on Tuesday.
