Another criminal killed in Alamganj area
PATNA: Criminals seem to have made
Patna City ASP Balram Kumar Chaudhary said Chintu was accused in at least 18 criminal cases of loot, theft and robbery and 11 of the cases were lodged with Alamganj, Jakkanpur, Ramkrishna Nagar, Kadamkuan, Kankarbagh and Patrakar Nagar police stations. He said the killers were known to the deceased.
Chaudhary said Chintu was from Dariyapur locality under the Kadamkuan police station area but used to live at one of his uncle’s residence near the temple where he was shot dead. “He had come out of jail almost a year back and was involved in criminal activities,” the ASP said, adding police were gathering information about more cases lodged against Chintu.
“Chintu was killed by his rivals, who were earlier his associates. He was shot thrice at close range. Three empty cartridges were recovered from the spot,” Chaudhary said. He said the locals told police that he had dispute with a few youths of the area three days back.
“On Sunday, he reached Alamganj from Kadankuan after receiving a call,” Chaudhary said. He said five youths have been named accused in the FIR lodged by his family members with Alamganj police station.
On October 13, another criminal, Dipu Sao, was shot dead at Jalla Gali under the Khajekala police station area. Two days after, criminal Suraj Yadav alias Chotan (26) was shot dead at Rampur under Bahadurpur police station area on October 15. He was accused in loot and dacoity cases lodged with Agamkuan and Ramkrishna Nagar police stations.
