Patna: State assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha on Wednesday ordered marshals to remove All India Majli-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) members from the House after they obstructed the proceedings and sat on dharna in the well.
It led to adjournment of the House that was discussing the economic backwardness of the Seemanchal region, comprising the districts of Purnia, Kishanganj, Katihar and Arria.

When the question hour of the assembly was over, the Speaker read out the adjournment notice that AIMIM legislature party leader Akhtarul Iman had served. Sinha also gave the ruling that the adjournment notice would not be entertained, because the House, as per its rules, would be seized with the government business of getting the four bills passed in the post-lunch session.
As a result, Iman and other AIMIM members sat in the well of the House, following which the Speaker asked the marshals to bodily remove them. Earlier, he had asked them to return to their seats, but to no avail.
Later, they sat on dharna outside the portico of the assembly. After the pre-lunch session, the Speaker called them to his chamber. When the House met for the post-lunch session, they raised the issue regarding Seemacnhal again, but the Speaker did not pay attention to them and they walked out of the House.
