A flop show, says BJP
PATNA: State BJP president Nityanand Rai on Sunday led the NDA offensive against Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s rally, saying it was a “super neta’s super flop show”.“Rahul’s speech did not have any substance. It was super flop show,” Rai said. He slammed Rahul for criticising PM Narendra Modi for the Rs 6,000 annual assistance for the marginal and small farmers owning less than 2 hectares of land announced in the Interim Budget 2019-20 presented by Union finance minister Piyush Goyal. “The Congress president’s arithmetic is totally incorrect,” Rai said.Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader and Jamui MP Chirag Paswan sought to know from Rahul if he was so confident of his party’s strength, would he field his party’s candidates in all the 40 parliamentary constituencies in the state?”Rai, who was accompanied by the party’s senior functionaries like Dewesh Kumar, Sanjay Singh Tiger and Azfar Shamsi, told media persons that the BJP expected Rahul to give an account of the 55-year rule of the Congress in the country. “We were also expecting RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav to give an account of the 15-year rule of his parents Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi. The two, however, kept mum,” Rai said.“I have announced that our party will list the achievements made by the Centre under PM Modi in the last four years and nine months. We will also count the achievements made in Bihar under around 15-year rule of the NDA government led by CM Nitish Kumar,” Rai said.Rai also countered Rahul’s allegation against PM Modi that he (the PM) believed in helping the Ambanis, saying the Ambani family, richest in the country, augmented their wealth with the help of rich “Gandhi khandan”.
