RANCHI: Ranchi police on Thursday arrested three persons in connection with the recent MCC attack on police personnel in Mandar.

RANCHI: Ranchi police on Thursday arrested three persons in connection with the recent MCC attack on police personnel in Mandar.
The outfit had attacked policemen who were on patrolling duty and injured four of them critically.
Addressing a press conference here, SSP MV Rao said that as many as 25 MCC activists assembled in a school at Usko Sarah at 2 pm on the day of the attack and discussed their modalities.

From there they reached Bijupara at 5 pm and as soon as the police party arrived, the MCC men pounced upon them and looted four rifles. The attack was carried out on the direction of area commander Raj Kumar.
The names of the arrested persons are, Nasuruddin Ansari from Burmu, Gopal Jayaswal from Thakur Gaon and Agustin Ekka from Mandar.
The police have also arrested one Chandramohan Pandey who had master minded a number of kidnapping and other cases. Pandey had kidnapped a ranger, Amrit Das, in 1992, when he reportedly received Rs 15 lakh as ransom.
He also kidnapped Dudhna Singh Yadav in 1986 and the owner of Bhatia Electricals in 1998.
He was also involved in snatching incidents and had once robbed cash from a petrol pump located on Ratu Road in Ranchi in 1987.
The police have also arrested three persons, who were involved in a number of sensational murder cases. They are Jaina Kachap, Dilip Kachap and Pankaj were wanted in connection with the murder of a doctor''s son.
