3-day annual techno-cultural festival concludes at IIT-Patna
After an exhilarating three days, the Celesta 2026 techno-cultural festival at IIT Patna wrapped up with a bang! Attendees were mesmerized by cutting-edge robotics exhibitions and dynamic cultural showcases. Fierce competitions such as Robo Wars and Death Race stole the spotlight, with teams from Lovely Professional University and Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology earning top honors.
Patna: The three-day annual techno-cultural festival, Celesta 2026, organised by Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT-P) concluded here on Sunday with display of robotics’ excellence and cultural performances by the techno enthusiasts drawn from across the country.Cutting-edge robotics events included ‘Robo Wars’, ‘Aqua Robo’, ‘Death Race’, ‘Robo Soccer’, and ‘Aero Sprint’, showcasing engineering brilliance, innovation, and competitive spirit. These events provided participants with a real-time platform to demonstrate their engineering knowledge, programming expertise, and strategic thinking.

The closing ceremony was held at the festival ground, where winners of major events were announced. Team Quickfolks from Lovely Professional University emerged victorious in Robo Soccer, while Team Jarvis from Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology clinched the title in Death Race. Team PG secured first place in Aqua Soccer, and Team KPRIET triumphed in Aero Sprint.Students and technology enthusiasts from premium institutions brought the competitions to life with creativity, precision, and innovation. High-speed manoeuvres, superior control, and the ability to overcome complex challenges left the audience spellbound, while the judges applauded the participants for their technical expertise.
Teams from Nepal also took part in the robotics competitions.The cultural programmes added a magical touch to the celebrations.The fest concluded with a high-energy DJ event, where students danced with unrestrained enthusiasm.Earlier, the festival was inaugurated by Group Captain Angad Pratap of the Indian Air Force, a selectee for India’s first human spaceflight mission under the Gaganyaan programme. IIT-P students welfare dean Jimson Mathew, faculty-in-charge (technical) Arpit Jain, and fest coordinators Antara Nanda and Abhitesh Shukla graced the occasion.
