Patna: Thirteen more persons tested positive for
swine flu on Wednesday. This takes the total count of positive cases in the state to 70. The patients who tested positive belonged to Kadamkuan, Khajpura, Kankarbagh, Naya Tola, Lohanipur, Gaurichak and Khagaul in Patna, and Darbhanga, Begusarai, Purnia and Bhojpur. More than 60 samples were tested on Wednesday.
Fourteen patients are undergoing treatment at Infectious Diseases Hospital, Patna.
Meanwhile, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Patna, screened video films about the prevention and treatment of swine flu at its polyclinic from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday. The films informed the audience about various ways to prevent swine flu, such as covering nose and mouth while sneezing. Doctors were also available at the polyclinic for consultation.
