Patna: The govt on Monday carried out a major administrative reshuffle, assigning additional charges to two senior IAS officers, transferring four in the rank of secretary, and shifting 13 district magistrates across the state.
Planning and development department principal secretary K Senthil Kumar was given additional charges of SC and ST welfare department and also of the CEO of Mahadalit Vikas Mission, while PHED secretary Pankaj Kumar Pal was given the additional charge of rural works department in the same rank.
Urban development and housing department secretary Abhay Kumar Singh was transferred to food and consumer protection department as its secretary and will continue to hold additional charge of science and tech department and managing director of state electronics development corporation. On the other hand, SC and ST secretary Diwesh Sehra has been made secretary of the rural works department and will hold the additional charge of vigilance commissioner, mines and geology department.
Secretary, rural works department, Sarwan M, has been posted in the general administration department. Road construction department secretary Sandeep Kumar R Pudkalkatti has been shifted to urban development and housing department with additional charge of Patna Metro Rail.
Among the DM rank officers, Aurangabad DM Shrikant Shastri has been made Begusarai DM, while Madhepura DM Taranjot Singh has been transferred to West Champaran and Sheohar DM Vivek Ranjan Maitreya has been shifted to Siwan in the same capacity. Arwal DM Abhilasha Sharma has been made DM of Aurangabad and Ashutosh Trivedi, in the rank of joint secretary, has been shifted to Katihar as its DM. Pratibha Rani, project director of Bihar Aids Control Society, has been made Sheohar DM. Information and public relations department director Vaibhav Srivastava has been given charge of Saran DM, while animal and fishery resources director Abhishek Ranjan has been transferred as Madhepura DM.
Director technical development and industries department Shekhar Anand has been made Sheikhpura DM and director mines and geology department Vinod Duhan has been posted as Araria DM. Amrisha Bains, OSD in the energy department, has been transferred as Arwal DM, while primary education director Sahila has been made DM of Buxar, and agriculture director Nitin Kumar Singh has been transferred as Kaimur DM.
